Is setup/breakdown time included automatically in my booking if I book less than 5 consecutive hours?No. When determining the amount of hours you would like to book The Venue At Chester, please be sure to include enough time for setup/breakdown. The first 15 minutes on every additional hour will be another hour added to your booking at the hourly rate you paid.

What is your refund policy?In the event Lessee, shall cancel an event one hundred eighty (180) or more days prior to the first day of the event, Lessor shall refund to Lessee fifty percent (50%) of the monies paid by Lessee; In the event Lessee, shall cancel an event more than one hundred twenty (120) days but less than one hundred eighty (180) days prior to the first day of the event, Lessor shall refund to Lessee twenty-five percent (25%) of the monies paid by Lessee; In the event Lessee shall cancel an event more than sixty (60) days but less than one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the first day of the event, Lessor shall refund to Lessee fifteen percent (15%) of the monies paid by Lessee; Lessee shall be entitled to no refund if an event is canceled less than sixty (60) days prior to the first day of the Event. In the event Lessee desires to reschedule the event Lessor shall credit all costs, toward a new event date acceptable to the parties provided that any such new event date shall be scheduled within sixty (60) days of the original event date, which shall be evidenced by a new agreement.

What is my reservation deposit?In order to reserve a date, a deposit in the amount of 50% of your total cost shall be made (Refundable Damage Deposit is not included in this total). Please note, that we DO NOT secure dates without a reservation deposit.

Is alcohol allowed on the premises?The state of Ohio prohibits the use of "BYOB" at events. However, as the host of the event you may have alcohol at your event as long as it is NOT FOR SALE. Anytime alcohol is served at an event, an on/off duty officer must be present at the host expense. You must provide proof that an officer is hired at least 48 hours prior to your event. Lastly, no alcohol shall be distributed after 1:00AM. To get more information regarding our alcohol policy please refer to your User Agreement after booking.

Do I have to provide a Damage Deposit?A refundable Damage Deposit in the amount of $250.00 and $350.00 for teen events is due at least (14) days prior to your event. The Damage Deposit will be processed for return forty-eight hours (48) after the event provided no damage has occurred and the entire space is returned to its’ original condition. For more information on the Damage Deposit please refer to your User Agreement after booking with us.

Is smoking allowed on the premises?Pursuant to the laws of the City of Cleveland and The Venue At Chester’s restrictions there is absolutely no drug use or smoking of any kind permitted on The Venue At Chester’s premises or within twenty-five (25) feet of The Venue At Chester’s building. Conduct deemed disorderly at the sole discretion of host and The Venue At Chester shall be grounds for immediate expulsion from The Venue At Chester’s premises and the immediate conclusion and termination of the term of the lease period. In such cases, NO refund of the usage fee or damage deposit shall be made to guest.

Do I have to purchase event insurance in order to host an event at The Venue At Chester?The Venue At Chester determines that host event requires liability insurance, an insurance policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) acceptable to the The Venue At Chester shall be a prerequisite for host use of the space in the amount of $100,000.00. A copy of this acceptable Policy shall be provided to The Venue At Chester no less than fourteen (14) days prior to the event, and shall be written in as “Venue At Chester LLC.” Questions on where to liability insurance, please speak with management If no acceptable Policy is provided and declined as foresaid host must sign the “Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability & Waiver Agreement” on the last page of this User Agreement in order to reserve event.

When is my final payment due?Fourteen (14) days prior to your event, along with your refundable Damage Deposit.

What is your policy on "teen' events?"In order to host a "teen" event, a refundable Damage Deposit in the amount of $350.00 must be placed on file with us. Additionally, the event being must chaperoned by a parent/guardian, and an on/off duty officer. Information on the on/off duty officer should be provided to management at least fourty-eight (48) hours prior to the event.

Can I bring an outside caterer?Simply put, YES!

Do you have a catering kitchen?Yes. The Venue At Chester provides a prep space that features a sink, industrial refrigerator/freezer, warmer and a prep table. We also provide use of a microwave as needed, but our catering kitchen is not equipped with a stove or oven.

Can we cook food on the premises?The Venue At Chester provides a prep space, however it does not come equipped with a stove or oven. The prep space is ideal for preparing cold items, and keeping catered food warm. Caterers or restaurants should be prepared for this when bringing food to your event.

What makes a reservation complete?Your reservation is complete after the Usage Agreement has been signed, in addition to a Reservation Deposit of 50% or more toward the total cost of your booking.
